Silencio

This installation formed part of the Digital Arts Studios Residency Exhibition at The Bean Bag Cinema, Belfast in April 2016.

The work was a sketch idea developing on from The Guitar Sculpture. Five faces lay on the floor, cast from my own face. Each one contained lights, a speaker and an infrared sensor in the mouth.

When a hand was held close to the mouth, it emitting a voice. Instead of being silenced, it sang.

An undeveloped version of this concept would become a wall piece where audiences place their ears close to the mouths to activate and listen to a voice speak or sing.
