I collected seven varieties of flower on this day:
Dog Rose; light pink dried a green brown
Yorkshire Fog; pink brown dried a browny green
Red Clover; pink purple dried a shade of green
Meadow Geranium; blue purple dried a light blue green
Oxeye Daisy: pale clear pink dried light brown green
Red Catchfly; dark pink dried a washed out blue purple
Hawksbeard: yellow brown dried a yellow brown
Below are the freshly painted swatches of each colour, followed by the dried versions.
I continue to paint swatches for animation. You can see a photo showing the painted 4/5 swatches of the same ink colour with the intention of animating these into a loop.
I’ve shown the dried Yorkshire Fog and Red Clover at the bottom to show the interesting textures that appear when the pigment has dried.
